Microsoft Windows Defender Overview

Microsoft Windows Defender was Microsoft's answer to crys from the public for them to provide something to remove spyware and malware. It's not antivirus but it act's pretty much the same way provides real time protection of spyware and junk programs that contain malicious payloads. Automatic updates and scans are available.

Microsoft Windows Defender is free as long as you allow them to validate that you have a legal copy of Windows Vista or Windows XP
