We get asked all the time, well if it's free then it can't be good right? The answer is it depends. Here are some examples of why FREE may be your best option.

What's on your computer?

Mostly what you pay for in commercial products is additional sometimes advanced features. This will take a little time to keep up with. If the information on your computer is important to you then it's definately worth the extra time. Think about what you use your computer for day to day. Do you keep personal financial records, school work or business records on it? Do you have irreplaceable digital photos or video on it? If so you may want explore the commercial route. If you only surf the net and rarely save anything then free is a good option.

Will you pay the annual renewal for your commercial software?

We want you to protect yourself from the headaches of a spyware or virus infested computer. If you don't feel like it's worth paying for then at least spend a few minutes and install the FREE stuff. For example, so many people go out and buy anti-virus install it but then never renew it because they don't want to pay the yearly subscription. If you know you aren't going to continue to pay for it then free is better than out-of-date commercial sofware.
