Google Pack FREE Spyware Doctor Starter Edition
Step 1: Download Google Pack
Deselect the components you do NOT want to install, shown below we ONLY have Spyware Doctor selected. Personally I use Firefox with Google Toolbar, Spyware Doctor, Picasa (for pictures & slideshows) and StarOffice (compatible with Microsoft Office) Then choose "Download Google Pack"
Step 2: You don't have to check the "Help us improve the Google Pack....Just Click Agree and Download
Step 3: Click Save File for the Google Updater.exe popup, this should be saved to the Desktop if you are using Firefox.
Step 4: NO SCREEN SHOT SHOWN Navigate to your desktop and double click on "Google Updater.exe, click continue or OK to security prompts.
If you had problems and could not complete the install please contact us for help!Step 5: Google updater should show it's downloading Spyware Doctor as shown below. It will automatically install, no need to click Run when it's done.
When it's done installing google updater should give you a Installation Complete message as shown below. It's then OK to close it.
Step 6: Click on the OnGuard Button as shown below.
Step 7: Click on the "Click to Activate OnGuard" button as shown below.
Step 8: Click on the "Setting" button, then choose "Scan Settings", then check the box for "Scan for rootkit hidden files" then click the "Apply" button as shown below.
Step 9: If you desire to change the schedule (the default is fine), choose "Scheduled Tasks", click on a scheduled task and the edit button will enable. Click edit and follow the wizard to change the schedule. as shown below.
Click "Start Scan" when finished.
